When I first discovered Respicio & Co. Law Firm in the Philippines, I was optimistic. They had a polished website, quick communication, and appeared professional. Like many others, I trusted their presentation and believed I was in good hands.
Unfortunately, my experience ended up being deeply frustrating and financially draining — and I believe it’s important to share what happened, in the hope that it helps someone else make an informed choice when hiring legal services in the Philippines.
My Experience – The Issues I Faced
Over the course of our engagement, I spent hundreds of thousands of pesos. I was ready to move forward with serious legal steps, but things didn’t go as expected. Here’s what I personally encountered:
- Missed deadlines with no clear communication or accountability.
- Promises to follow up on emails and messages were broken.
- Responsiveness declined significantly after payment was made.
- Legal documents had multiple errors — mistakes I had to point out more than once.
This experience left me feeling unsupported and frustrated. It did not reflect what I would expect from a professional law firm in the Philippines.
Concerns About Online Reviews
As I looked deeper, I noticed something that raised red flags: the firm’s reviews are almost exclusively on Google. Most mention video consultations, which are charged services. It made me wonder:
Where are the reviews about actual legal outcomes? Why not on platforms like Trustpilot, the world’s largest independent review site?
In my opinion, this pattern of reviews feels curated — possibly more focused on selling appointments than showcasing real, long-term legal success. That said, these are just my personal observations. I may be wrong, so please take this with a grain of salt and form your own view.
Why I’m Sharing This
I’m not writing this to attack any individual or business. I’m sharing my honest experience as a paying client, so others can make better-informed decisions when choosing a law firm.
If you’re considering Respicio & Co. Law Firm, I recommend checking my full review on Trustpilot, where I go into more detail about the timeline, issues, and financial cost. I also plan to publish updates across my personal blogs and legal review platforms soon.
Final Note
This post reflects my personal experience and opinion only. Others may have had positive interactions, and that’s perfectly valid. This is not legal advice — just one client’s story, shared in the spirit of transparency and consumer awareness.
